About the Lake Placid Sinfonietta

The Lake Placid Sinfonietta is a summer chamber orchestra whose musicians come from larger orchestras and university faculties throughout the country. From it's inception in 1917 to the present day, it has provided excellence in classical performance to the heart of the Adirdonacks.  


Activities of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta, Inc. are made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency. The Lake Placid Sinfonietta, Inc. also receives public support from the Arts Council of the Northern Adirondacks, the Town of North Elba, and the Village of Lake Placid.
