Bending the Boundaries

Composers who push the envelope, who think outside the box is the theme of this concert. Villa Lobos in tribute to Bach Brazilian style, a Haydn Symphony with a surprising beginning and a false ending (leading the audience to applaud before it's over), and a work by Beethoven, who probably more than any other bent the boundaries of music towards the height of expression by making music about humanity. To play the concerto we have someone who has shared the stage with some of the world's greatest chamber musicians and orchestras, Navah Perlman
