The Lake Placid Sinfonietta--the Adirondacks' orchestra of world-class musicians--unleashes the power of music to entertain, educate, and inspire people of all ages.

The Lake Placid Sinfonietta is a professional summer chamber orchestra of twenty top orchestral musicians from across the country led by Music Director Stuart Malina. Oringinally a private Hotel Orchestra in 1917 the Lake Placid Sinfonietta is proud to have been a communtiy supported non-profit for the last 40 years.   Please visit our musician and concert pages to read about the amazing artists we present and the concerts planned for 2024


Our offices are located in the theater building of the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, 17 Algonquin Ave., Lake Placid, NY.  Please stop in and visit!

Activities of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. The Lake Placid Sinfonietta, Inc. also receives public support from the Town of North Elba, and the Village of Lake Placid, and from an Essex County Arts Council CAP grant funded by the Essex County Board of Supervisors. A current financial statement is available on request.
