James Rester is a native of Monroeville, Alabama and a veteran of the United States Army. He is Second Horn in the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and Third Horn in the Delaware Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Rester has performed and recorded with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
When he is not performing, he teaches a small studio of motivated students. He has been a product development consultant and machinist for Houser Mouthpiece Works, which makes brass and stainless steel mouthpieces for horn, trombone and tuba.
If not performing, teaching or repairing horns, James is homesteading in rural Oklahoma or hiking in the woods looking for the elusive Sasquatch.
