Erwin Schulhoff, Arr. Zev Malina - Piano Pieces

Eric Korngold - Much Ado About Nothing Suite

Claude Debussy - La Mer

The repertoire of this concert celebrates the diverse colors and evocative imagery of 20th-century music. Beginning with Erwin Schulhoff's imaginative and lively "Piano Pieces," arranged by Zev Malina, the program showcases a blend of wit and expressive depth. This is followed by Eric Korngold's "Much Ado About Nothing Suite," a charming and theatrical work inspired by Shakespeare’s timeless comedy, blending lyrical melodies with playful characterizations. The evening culminates in Claude Debussy’s "La Mer," a masterful depiction of the sea’s ever-changing moods and power, transporting the audience through waves of impressionistic soundscapes. Together, these works create a vivid journey through storytelling, nature, and emotion.
